Daffodil's Tardis was a long way away she liked to walk sometimes. anway she was on earth and shed always wanted to go here so why not walk?! she was having a lot of fun taking in the sites and seeing all the humans London was a very busy place and she knew it was the capital of Britain so of course it was busy. Humans of all shapes and sizes went by her.
she really enjoyed looking at all the humans and wondered whether she looked alien (she doesnt of course) she thout it was kind of funny hwp she knew all about the universe and that she was an alien and they didn't even realise! All those conspiricy theorys and they didnt even see a time lady right in the midst. Daffi tosed her hair and decided she would find soemthing to do for a while so she could keep watching the huamsn. They were really fascinating, all time lords had a interest in humans and Daffi wasnt any difference.
she thougt maybe she would get a coffee before she went looking for the master again because she really needed to find him! Wow, she couldnt wait until they met up again it had been a long time. She really missed him and she knew he mised her. She wondered where he was she had been going to catch up with him after he had gone to visit somwhere boring on his own but her Tardis had gone funny and landed her here! She couldnt mind too much though because earth looks really fun.

[shadow=Navy,left,300]Captain Jack Harkness[/shadow] Jack slowly folded his arms, clasping them together behind them as he stood motionless, tall and still upon the roof of the tallest apartment in this street. He didn’t even know the buildings name... he wasn’t bothered about that, it meant little to nothing to him. There was so much more in this world to worry about, after all... The gentle wind, which blew harder up here in the open air then it did on the ground, played havoc with his short cropped brown hair. Bristling about his eyes, and making the sight before him wavy through its dark shades. He always sought out high places... spots were he could stand and survey what little of planet earth he could see by the roofs human-created buildings. He had chosen this planet, above all, to station himself on. Yes, it largely had something to do with the fact that the Doctor himself watched over this primitive world, but it was more then that. He had come to love this planet, in the long, endless years he had remained here. He had – almost – a family in this world. He had a daughter, a nephew, and people he cared for. And yet his age... it marked his different. He always stood... alone. No matter how many times he befriended or loved someone... the fact that he would lose them, they would die well he continued on... pricked at him. He had Torchwood he had a team, a brilliant, clever team. He led them in a dangerous time, where something soon would be coming... and he did not even know what. A warning in the back of his mind told him that the time was so close, that it was almost upon them. Was Torchwood Ready? how many of those he had come to respect, would he lose. Sooner... rather then later?
He knew well that it did not good to dwell on these worries, and instead the man that would live for ever gave a weary sigh. Shinning blue eyes watched the life that moved about the streets below him. Those people below him, they knew not what awaited them, they knew not what was out there. And as they say... ignorance is bliss for they did not have to fear for themselves or there loved ones. They moved about like ants below him, going about there short, weak lives. But they lived in happiness, they died with those they loved, and for it Jack was jealous of them. They did not have fear and hardship and pain. They had not lost a brother, lost him first to an alien race, and lost him again to his own insanity... they had not watched as all they loved died or decayed around them... He would never be free of such weighty thoughts, and it was for them that his team knew so little about him. It was for them that he kept to himself, and stood here, high above the world... rather then down below amongst those that could be his friends. In the end... it was not will-power that drew him from such thoughts, it was a beeping. Fumbling about in his favourite jacket he pulled out his ammeter, something that Kas, in fact, had put together. It was a remote device that could sense rift activity, or alien objects, and his one was now going off. He threw his eyes to the streets below with a little more purpose now, and his eyebrows pulled together as he glanced back at the ammeter, impressed. He hadn’t known just how strong these things were, but he was sure, that what ever it was it was warning him of... it was down below. Turning from his vintage point, he moved towards the inner stairs, opened the outer door and took them two at a time. His jacket breezing softly behind him as reached the elevator. He was pretty high up, and he knew it would be his fastest way. He muted his device quickly, which was still going. It wouldn’t do to draw the attention of civilians, after all. He tapped his feet softly against the ground as he waited for the elevator, which, according to the helpful sign above the elevator doors, told him it was five stories below him. He all but tapped his feet and sighed as he waited with his hands crossed for it to arrive. It must have stopped then, because it hovered three below before continuing to rise once more.
As it reached his level he was even more surprised to see a man all dressed up in a suit, briefcase and all, standing there. He was glaring at Jack and peering at his watch every two seconds. Unlike jack however, he actually as tapping his feet. “Hay there” Jack told him, offering him an award-winning grin as he looked the man up and down. If he took off that impatient grin, he would actually be rather cute. Jack’s grin broadened slightly, and he was pretty sure the other edged away from him slightly. Obviously he didn’t have very good taste. Jack ignored the possible insult in that idea and turned his gaze back to the elevator doors as it began to sink once more. Obviously the man had not wanted to rise, but hay! They were both in a rush after all. As patient as ever, he watched the numbers sink at a snails pace as they crawled down the stories. He was beginning to wonder if running would have been the better beat. At any rate, it would have been nicer for his nerves. Finally, it sunk to ground floor at the doors pinged open. Jack smoothly moved out at a face walk, brushing past the man he gave him a wink, and then Jack was gone. Running out the door with his coat fluttering at his heels.
He was out in the street in moment, and he pulled out Kas’s home-made device to see what it told him. He turned a corner at a sprint as he followed its lead. He wasn’t looking were he was going however as he ran smack into a lady, his fingers brushed the ground and he pushed himself back to his feet, turning quickly to see if the lady was alright, and apologetic smile gracing his features as he did so
