Tracian walked through the city, in his human suit of course, looking around at his surroundings. He had only been in this town, in this country, on this planet. Though he had only been here for a bit, he had taken as much use as he could of the chemistry labs and libraries available to the public. Though the person who he had taken his body from, had been a chemist, so he had a lot of access, but it looked odd going to the same lab every day for the whole day. He was walking on a boardwalk by the bay, watching the boats come and leave the ports that were closest in his sight. He had never seen a boat like the boat on Planet Earth; they seemed to be all powered by a propeller. On his home planet all the boats were powered by steam. When he first arrived he thought this planet had never seen steam, unless they were boiling a jug, but once he started to study the human history, he found out they had. They had had steam trains and boats and many other things, which they didn’t use now days. And their technology was rather lame. It was nothing like the stuff on Raxacoricofallapatoria. When he was at home he could do some many things, but now he couldn’t and he hated it, being limited to his discoveries. He stopped pacing, and turned back the way he had come. He was going to go to the lab and do some work. He had a brilliant plan for a steam powered toaster. He thought it could work, for him, maybe not for humans… But did that matter? He walked into the lab, greeted by the lady at the front desk. It was a different one to yesterdays. She was much skinny, Tracian noted, before stalking off to a private lab. When he reached the elevator, he pushed the button and waited for it come, not realising if any one was around him.
