Kastiel was the type that never thought he knew enough. He loved knowledge completely and utterly loved it. He easily knew of the advantages knowledge held, he used knowledge before weapons like guns and the like. Maybe he worked for Torchwood, and understood the importance of the work they did there, but that didn’t mean he took to violence to find what he wanted.
He tried to seem casual, walking through the strange streets in search of random happenings, or untangle a little more of the confusion that had entered his mind upon his arrival to this new world. He could still remember every detail of it... well, it had been only a week ago. He had managed to integrate himself into Torchwood pretty quick, and was still adjusting to the new life he lead there.
Although he better understood the workings of this world now, simple things could throw him when he wasn’t watching as utterly carful as he could. It would be so simple... to let his mind wonder from his path, even for a moment... and then god knows what would ruin his day then. Certainly, he never repeated his mistake of walking onto the road; know that he knew what it is he didn’t feel like jumping every time one speed past... but by god, the technology of this world. He had learnt the art of computers, and internet surfing in a heart beat. The secrets that unlocked before his mind where still mind-blowing and brilliant to the knowledge-Seeker, but with so many different things to learn from, he still felt in the dark. He wanted to learn of this worlds past, its personality, the cultures and designs and all the different places in the world. He wanted to fully understand technology and science, but he was like a baby in a new world. He found out shortly after arriving that his brain worked slightly different to that of humans. The nerves in his brain connecting each thought path was slightly more complicated, but a whole lot more efficient. In short, Kastiel’s memory was brilliant... but no matter how brilliant, he had to learn to swim before plunging in an ocean.
Only just managing to stop himself from hanging his head in his hands as he wished that the other Torchwood members; the only ones that could know he was an alien, would take the time to go through it with him, he wondered just how much quicker that would be for him. Eyes catching a sign he slipped into an open, welcoming looking internet café, grabbing a snack he sat down at the computer and in moments his fingers where tapping away. There was no amount of information that could hide from him well he stood before a glowing screen like this. With a laugh he had a quick search of the local connections inside the internet café itself, exploring the interests of the other people here. This wasn’t so much stalker like behaviour; he was trying to better understand the thinking’s of the humans around him. He paused, however, when something interesting caught his eye...
