Carlie was woken up by her alarm, like every normal day.Buzzing as the digits reached 6:30am. 'Shut up' She thought internally to the alarm clock, closing her eyes, after hitting the snooze button. But the alarm went off a minute later, making her jump.'Fine I'm getting up!' She exlcaimed in her thoughts, hitting the snooze button with her palm as she jumped up. This day was going to be normal. Well what was normal for her at least. She quickly got ready for work; firstly getting changed into a pair of black jeans and a brown cotton t-shirt, while waiting for her toast to cook. She brushed her hair, pulling it into a plait, while munching on her toast, which only had butter on. The best way to have toast. She then brushed her teeth, while grabbing stuff to put in her bag for work. She pulled her notebook out from her safe and popped it in, nicely ontop of a baby blue sweatshirt, which she had folded in, like a week ago, but had never bothered to take it out. Washing her face quickly, before applying the tinest bit of face powder and dabbing on some apple flavour lip balm; her favourite.Carlies preparations for the day was like everyone elses, but her job was a lot different to theirs. She worked for Torchwood. She checked her watch quickly, seeing that it was 7:00am. She rushed out off the door, pulling out a white lab jacket, as she locked the door behind her. As she walked past number 10, Ms Peers poked her head out the door."Work today?" Ms Peers asked, looking at the lab coat. No one in the apartment knew what Carlie did for a job, and they never would."Yes, early shift. Have a nice day." Carlie lied, easily, with a pretty smile. As she waited for the lift to open, she put the jacket in her bag, swinging it back up on her shoulder, as the lift opened. While she stood unlocking her car door, a large, noisy bus drove past, its engine sounding like a mad bull, blowing out a large, black cloud of fumes over Carlie.'Great now I shall stink all day' She frowned to herself. In her car, she turned the radio on, throwing her backpack into the back seat, and turning on the heating, feeling like the few seconds she was out in the cold, had frozen her. normally she would stop in at the starbuck's cafe when going to work. It was always open. She liked the coffee there, it was good, but not as good as the ones Ianto made at Torchwood. That was part of his job, and he did it very well, to a high standard. She would always order and cappunicon, and have the normal consveration with the waitress called Sophie."Hi, hows your morning going?" "Good, good, you?" "Same old. Busy day ahead?" "Think so, normally is" "You work at the hospital, don't you?" "Yeah, not much of a great job. You got it easy." "I wouldn't think so." It was the same consveration every day, but Carlie didn't know what else to say, she had no life really outside work, and no one could know what she did for work. But today she went to the coffee shop, that was by the entrance to the Torchwood 3 base, which was by the Wales Millennium Centre, watching the people that walked past. She would have to go to the carpark and go to the entrance of the Torchwood base soon, when it was 7:30. She picked up her coffee and sipped it softly, her book open on the table by her elbow, though she wasn't reading it.

Kastiel still felt rather new to the whole thing. I mean... he was an alien, who had recently fallen through the rift. Sure, he had managed to bring himself up to speed with the workings of the world pretty quick... but he had to know what to look up, before he could look it up, right? Computers... they where what he had taken to the most. It was no surprise when he had became the computer expert of Torchwood, he loved unravelling mysteries behind that torchwood monitor... but returning back to the unknown, he stared almost absently at the building, or more directly, at the window of the building before him.
All over that window where what appeared to be articles to the untrained eye... each one, however, carrying a very similar layout. There was the picture of a house (Each one different) And underneath them where similar layout of descriptions, and a price. Well know... Torchwood budget was, or at least, he thought it was, rather good. But with nothing to refer to... how could you tell? That was still getting off the point, however. For to spell out the point would be to say... K.A.S.T.I.E.L N.E.E.D.E.D T.O B.Y.E A H.O.U.S.E There. That was spelling it out, now wasn’t it? The biggest problem was... he didn’t have the first idea on what to look for, or what price range was sensible. He didn’t even know how to tell if the house was in the right condition. He didn’t know what system to go through... Kastiel was like a child to this new world. Everything was a first experience, and he had no idea what to do here. He hated to admit that... and never would to his fellow team mates. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, he lowered his head and began to trudge in the general direction of the Torchwood headquarters. Of yet he had been living in a horrible hotel with a curfew. I mean come on! A curfew what could possibly be worse when one worked for the crazy hour job of Torchwood? Honestly, some times he was left without the luck...
He stopped outside the starbucks that was between him and the base, as he caught a familiar friendly face inside. He gave a grin and reached for the door, pulling it open he hoped inside, his favourite jacket billowing for a moment as he left the windy side-work for the cosy little shop. He walked up to Carlie and grabbing a seat he sat down beside her, giving her an easy going grin. “Fancy seeing you here” He joked lightly, looking at his watch, they would need to head to Torchwood soon. He pointed at her coffee before saying his next words. “Hay, wanna walk and drink that?” He wondered lightly.

Carlie still watching out the window, as more people came out, her gaze steady. Sometimes her gaze would flicker to her coffee, as she swirled it, or to her tiny blue watch on her wrist. On her latest eye-flicker to her watch, she thought in a rather happy note,'Have to leave soon' She knew as a fact, many people, actually most, hated to go to work. Very few loved their jobs. Carlie was one of the many few. She woke up every morning, after getting over the fact she had to get up, being happy, a little bit too excitied about work. The whole thing about getting up was a different matter. She hated getting up, just cause with her job at Torchwood, she hardly ever slept and was on call at every hour, night or day. Her job was fun, for her at least, fighting and doing a autospy on a alien. Or watching the rift. Would it be fun for anyone else, besides her and her teammates? It was a hard job, yes. But worth it. Protectors of the earth. Her, Kastiel, Jack, Gwen and Ianto with his wonderful coffees. Her gaze caught a figure that stopped outside the window, but flickered away quickly without taking in the facial features abit. She looked at her coffee, swirling it again, before taking a small sip. She heard the door open, and then a chair get pulled up next to her. She looked up to see Kastiel sitting next to her, a grin playing on his features."Fancy seeing you here" He joked lightly, looking at his watch, this made Carlie look at her watch, probally thinking the same thing as him. Work was about to start. Kastiel then pointed at her coffee."Hay, wanna walk and drink that?" He asked her. She nodded, getting up off her chair, and swinging her bag of her shoulder, before picking up her coffee, having a quick sip."Don't you want to get something? Or are you waiting for Iantos morning special?" She joked, her gaze flicking to the counter then back to Kastiel, with a smile, waiting for him too get up, having another sip of coffee.

Kastiel gave her that puppyish grin of hers, a bit teasing with a dash of kinship, and a mix of adventure. It was practically his trade mark smile, the one that fit him and only him, and could never fit another as well as it did to Kas. There was a reason he gave that smile here and now; she spoke of coffee... and it was practically an inside joke for him, and maybe the other Torchwood members if they felt the same. That coffee machine, well, all coffee machines in general (Just that one above all – ‘that one’ being the one in Torchwood head quarters) Where the biggest mystery of all to this newbie alien.
He felt that if he could figure out the coffee machine... nothing could stop him. Maybe it sounded ridicules to say it, but that thing spat and over burned and destroyed every time Kastiel, or anyone else had a go. With Ianto it was different... he still had trouble, like everyone else. He just seemed to have learnt how to work along side it. Okay, fine, so he was talking about coffee machines as through they where alive... he could blame the job for that, right?
His grin still alight on his friendly face he nodded his head at last, replying to her question. “Ianto’s coffee beats all” He agreed, glancing at the coffee in her hand as he gave another soft chuckle. “So don’t let him catch you drinking anything else” He joked softly. He got to his feet as she did, nodding his head as he pushed in his chair, his coat sliding perfectly into place behind him as he gave one last glance at the table. He didn’t come here often, he wasn’t kidding when he said that Ianto’s coffee beat all. He was hooked on the stuff... if anything happened to Ianto they would end up on some series coffee withdrawal for sure.
He walked towards the door and opened it, holding it open like a gentlemen for her as he glanced over his shoulder – the one holding the door, to see if she was following. Even here, as he glanced back in the direction they would be heading, they could see the tall fountain that hid the secret base of Torchwood. No one, or at least... they hoped no one, knew about the hidden base. After all, it was suppose to be one of there biggest secrets, that and the truth about alien. That they where real and all. “One of these days” he commented to his fellow Torchwood worker “We might actually get there before Jack wakes up” He gave a soft laugh at the improbability of that.

Carlie looked at Kastiel, and gave him a grin in reply to his. “Ianto’s coffee beats all” He agreed, glancing at the coffee in her hand, giving a soft chuckle. “So don’t let him catch you drinking anything else” He joked. Carlie laughed, shaking her head. “That would be pure horror if he did.” She joked, a smile on her face. She normally had to have a coffee before work to wake her up, but if she could she would wait for Ianto’s daily specialty. He made the best coffee, coffee to kill for, coffee that aliens came to earth for. She followed Kas to the door, walking through as he held it open, a huge smile as a thank you. He was always a gentleman, just like Ianto. Kastiel was very smart, while Ianto was a perfectionist. Liked everything done to the highest standard, and the coffee had to be better than better. “One of these days” Kastiel commented to Carlie, giving a soft laugh. “We might actually get there before Jack wakes up” Carlie laughed to, waiting for Kas to let go off the door and start walking. “Highly unlikely.” She said, smiling, wondering if who would be at work yet, having a sip of coffee. “So hows the hotel going?” Carlie asked kindly.

Kastiel gave another gentle chuckle as Carlie agreed at the improbability of getting there before Jack woke up. It was useless to say ‘before he got there’ because everyone was fairly sure the man lived there. One of these days... he wanted to sneak in at midnight just to see what the guy was up to, or if he was even there. But honestly, he would probably get shot by accident for the trouble. A highly strung out man, that Jack of there’s. The Torchwood team leader never let it show, but they tell by his mood swings alone. The only person that could truly read the man, however, was Gwen.
He let go of the door, and there was a soft swish as it swung to a close behind them, he folded his arms now, not a movement of hostility or withdrawal – just one of coldness. It was somewhat a chilly early morning, and it had been nice and cosy in the starbucks shop. Ahh well... they would be nice and cosy in there Torchwood headquarters, deep underground soon enough. Kastiel had never been all that comfortable with underground – before being dragged through the rift, the closet to underground he had ever come to, would be the caves dotted about his home planet. You never went there unless you were a hero with a death wish, or just plain crazy. Caves were the homes of monsters, that was something you learned from birth.
Kastiel adjusted pretty quickly, however, and there wasn’t the slightest flicker of doubt or indecision as he began walking towards the Torchwood lift, pacing besides Carlie; someone who had been at Torchwood for about the same length as he had been there. She commented about the hotel, and that dragged a sigh out of him. “Well... curfews will never be my thing, but I’m hanging on” He grinned back, forever joking he was. He never talked to the others about what he had left behind... and knew he wouldn’t be any time soon, either.
The sound of the rushing water from the waterfall statue that stood tall above there bases, the water tower, was loud about his ears as they approached the lift. He stepped on... still un-use to the fact that no one could see him when he stood there, and checking that Carlie was there as well, they began to descend downwards.

Carlie walked beside Kastiel, heading toward the Torchwood lift. At first she couldn't understand why it was underground. Then she realised the problem about secruity and sercetcy. She knew that no one could know about Torchwood, unless needed, and that was very rarely. She looked around the center, now full of people. Some tourists, some heading to work or out for the day. At one end of the center was a information booth, a secret door to the Torchwood base, but it still had information for tourist. It was runned when needed by Ianto. As they started to walk Kastiel replyed to her question about hotel. She felt sorry for him ,staying in a horrible hotel room, with a curfew!! It made her feel guilty that she had a two bedroom flat, by herself, through one room was full of random things, like a spare tv, which she had never got the chance of getting rid of. She knew Gwen lived with Rhys, her husband, and everyone kind of knew that Jack lived at the hub, but Carlie didn't know what Ianto did, maybe he slept at the hub to. Easier than travelling far. "Maybe everyone could move in. Make a Torchwood housing estate." Carlie thought to herself, looking at Kas as he spoke his next words"Well... curfews will never be my thing, but I'm hanging on" He grinned back, joking like normal. Carlie always thought he didn't say much, though she never had the slightest idea what about, but she never pestered. She liked Kastiel. She liked talking to him more than most of the other Torchwood members, but she also like Jack. Jack seemed to have mood swings but on a good day, he was a crack up. "Think anything bigs gonna happen today?" She asked him smiling, looking at the water tower."I have a feeling that I shall be doing a autospy. Hopeful not on a weevil again. They are strange." She stated, laughing at the thought, she had been doing a lot of weevil autospies since she had arrived. They were one of the main aliens on earth, she thought, as they could never seem to get enough of them. She remembered Owen, the guy who was there before her, who disappeared for some reason Carlie didn't know, was a weevil expert. She never asked about him or Tosh, knowing it was a rare wound. She didn't like causing pain, but it would give her some comfort to know what would happen. She still felt guilty, for taking his job. Carlie tried to tune out the sound of rushing water, as they approached the water tower, stepping into the platform, failing like normal. It felt very odd, walking into a water fountain. Lucky no one could see her and Kastiel, it would seem very very odd. Kastiel looked at her, and then they started to descend down to the Torchwood hub, more home to her than any other place in the world.

Kastiel almost fell over laughing at the suggestion of moving into the Torchwood base. “Fine, but I bags the computer chair – I’m sure you can find some cosy room deep in the dark and gloomy passageways.” He joked, beaming that special grin of his again. They where descending down through the Torchwood base now, and Kastiel closed his eyes for a moment as the floor beneath them descended. It was always a strange feeling – after all, Kastiel hadn’t even known about elevators before he came here. Things here where far more sophisticated then the world he came from. He wasn’t use to all the amazing technology that could be found here. It was like going from the human Stone Age to present day. He had to admit through – that as far as things went, he was one quick learner in this new world. After a while, there was little to nothing that he could not take apart and fix or re-make. Computers were the best of all... the secrets that he could unleash behind that shiny Torchwood edition monitor – well, lets just say that there was a reason Jack had accepted him on the team.
They where descending now... on that strange platform with the mirage like aura about it. He was yet to learn how it works... and Jack refused to let him take it apart and study it. A shame, but... a boss’s order was a boss’s order, after all. He jumped off the elevator just before it reached ground level, landing lightly on the hard floor as he began to move towards his work station – that beloved computer he had been thinking about moments before. First glance, and a feeling he had well perfected told him that there was no one else here but him and Carlie. It was unusual that Jack wouldn’t be about, but then... he could just as easily be off saving the world from some crazy alien invasion that was about to rip apart/enslave the world – just another day in Torchwood. “Well then, Carlie, Should we go a-snooping well the boss is abroad?” He joked, taking a glance in the direction of the office. It was tempting... and honestly, there was so much that the other did not tell them. Imagine learning, exactly what was in store for them, from the examples of those that had previously worked for Torchwood. He looked back at the young woman with a cheekily raised eyebrow; giving her the chance to see if they dared to or now.

“Fine, but I bags the computer chair – I’m sure you can find some cosy room deep in the dark and gloomy passageways.” Kastiel joked, beaming a grin. Carlie laughed. "I am sure that a weevil would love to have me move in" Carlie smiled, thinking about the only reason a weevil would be happy for a human to move in; food. She saw Kas close his eyes as the elevator went down and smiled. It was very odd how Torchwood got this elevator and how it worked. Maybe Tosh had made it when she was still around. Carlie knew that Kastiel would have wanted to pull it apart when he first saw it, to learn. He liked doing that. He was the smartest person she knew. As they reached the hub, Kastiel jumped off the elevator, when it was almost to the ground, and landed very softly. Almost scarely softly. She had been shocked when she first saw him do it. But now she was just very jealous. She knew Kas didn't come from this world, but didn't ask any questions about it. When she hoped off the elevator she noticed the silence. Jack was not asleep for a fact, he was always awake, waiting her in the board room for the other members to come. He must be out finding a weevil. And had taken Gwen and Ianto with him. At least that gave Carlie time to finish her coffee and get rid of the evedince. Ianto would not find out hopeful, or she would be in big trouble. But she could always try and smooth talk him, saying his coffees the best, but he wasn't here, and that did he want her to die? “Well then, Carlie, Should we go a-snooping well the boss is abroad?” Kastiel asked her, looking in the direction of Jack's, the boss's, office. Everyone wanted to know what was in there. Carlie herself had never been in there, though she had only been to certain parts of the base, and only seen half of the cells, which were mostly filled with weevils, which when she was unlucky, she would have to do a autospy, when one died, by Jacks orders. It wasn't fun. She bit her lip and thought long and hard, Jack would kill them, but he would only know if something had been moved. And Kastiel and her together could maybe put everything back in its right spot. Or maybe they could just look in, and not touch anything, though Carlie knew that if there was any technology Kas will not be able to control himself. He was tech crazy. Kastiel looked back at her, with a eyebrown raised, in a very cheekily looking way. She looked at the office again, biting down on her lip more."Kas...." She said in a quiet voice, looking at him, stilling biting her lip."Do you know what Jack would do to us if he found out!!" She spoke in a voice that gained strength, her answer had said no, there was a yes buired deep down in it, when she said 'if he found out'. She hoped Kastiel wouldn't notice, but nothing went past him. Though deep down she was very curious, but she knew what trouble lay ahead.

Kastiel’s eyebrow rose even harder, when she made a joke and a comment, that sounded both series as well as joking. She sounded exactly like he did... did they dare? Ah, but that was the thing, was it not? They where Torchwood... they always dared. He put his eyes eyebrow back to normal as he sighed, he had reached his chair now, and twirling it, he sat down. His eyes momentarily fluttered to the computer, he wanted to be lost behind that screen... and yet it seemed wrong to, when there was n one else about but him and Carlie, he knew he would be no conversation at all if he lost himself before that screen. He sighed, turning it into a very unattractive snort as memories of his first day here flashed before his eyes.
He was fairly certain that everyone’s first day in Torchwood ranged from strange to stranger, but there was always one thing that would remain similar. The sheer newness anyone felt with the world opened before them in a new way. Obviously more dramatically ‘new’ for Kastiel, then it was for most, however. He really and truly had been dumbfounded, tripping over everything in his need to explore. Gwen had told him once about her first day... walking in as she pretended to be delivering pizza in her struggle to find out more about Torchwood. Well, maybe his had not been quite as bad as that...
“Right, right... right! Sorry there Carlie, I think you lost me for a moment there” He joked once more, truly always joking, as he tore his eyes away from the screen, fingers posed to tapping, but he folded them over his lap instead, dropping a wink to his friend. “Well, I’m sure you would have been able to save me, doctor ” he added in, wondering if he would ever run out of dry joked. Hmm... maybe not, as it was, his mind was delivering them by the truck load. “Alright, back to Jack, snooping, and trouble”He declared, moving his crossed hands to tap thoughtfully at his deck. “Maybe if... we thought we heard something... strange up there... after all, its part of our job description to investigate...”He turned fully to Carlie, twirling his chair slightly as he fixed his eyes on her. That one, right eyebrow was raised again in question; would she agree? Surely she would... there was nothing more curious in Torchwood, then secrets, right?

Carlie watched as Kastiel sat in his chair, hoping that he had forgotten their plans to sneak into Jacks office, she was about to turn away, and start heading off to do some work of her own. Maybe update some autopsy files, wait till Jack got in, have a coffee when Ianto came in and if necessary and she was dying of boredom she could go and do Ianto’s job of feeding the weevils, or maybe just watch them, though they would watch her more. But as she was about to turn away, Kastiel spoke.“Right, right... right! Sorry there Carlie, I think you lost me for a moment there” He joked, still facing his computer, but his eyes watching her. She smiled, softly; she knew how Kastiel loved his computer. “Well, I’m sure you would have been able to save me, doctor” Kastiel added in, which made Carlie smile. Her mind flickered back to the few months she was working in the hospital, where sometimes you couldn’t save the persons live. She remembered that being Torchwood that they should have a lot of alien tech that could bring a person back to live, for a certain amount of time. But wouldn’t it be horrible, getting brought back to life, a living corpse. “You have so much faith in me. Thank you.” Carlie smiled at Kastiel. Her eyes wandering back to Jacks office as she spoke, her curiosity getting the better of her. She wanted to see what was in there. Kastiel’s hands started to tap on the desk. “Alright, back to Jack, snooping, and trouble” He said to her, turning his computer chair around, his eyes fixed on her. One eyebrow raised in question. “Maybe if... we thought we heard something... strange up there... after all, its part of our job description to investigate...” He spoke to her. Carlie smiled slightly. It was like he could read her mind. She still was very curious, and she wanted to know. She shrugged softly, looking at him fully. “We could say that we thought a weevil got out. You are smart, do you know if there are any cameras around this place.” Carlie asked, gesturing grandly around her with her left hand, turning back to smile cheekily at Kastiel. She was hoping the answer was no, so they didn’t have to pretend that the weevil got out. Or they may have to let one out. She sat down crossed legged on the floor, gaze flickering back and forth from Jack’s office and Kastiel.

Kastiel smiled at her as she spoke of faith. Of course he had faith in her, she was a welcome member of Torchwood, of this he was sure. They where new, both of them, but together they made Torchwood complete. He knew that she would not hesitate to jump into action if it meant saving them, she was gentle and friendly, more often then not she held an open face. She was quite like Gwen like that... although sometimes he saw concern in the eyes of the others, like maybe Gwen was becoming a little to use to Torchwood, losing some of her need to care. Kastiel’s eyes brightened with realisation, then and there. He had never been sure why exactly she had been the chosen doctor to help out at Torchwood – but maybe the reason had been sitting in front of him the entire time. Maybe it was her compassion that got her the job. Maybe he had seen something of her, maybe he thought she could bring back there Gwen, and together, be Torchwood’s heart.
It was an interesting speculation, and Kastiel knew that from now on he would be watched both of them, getting an idea of there behaviours patterns, to see if they kept themselves the same. Kastiel sighed, and began drumming his fingers once more. His mind was brilliant, but in truth, in wondered far more often then he would have liked. “Hmm...” Was so far his sole comment to her weevil idea, he thought it over in his mind... he wasn’t entirely sure if it would be the best alibi, they where obvious things, and something they were starting to fully know about. What if they claimed they did not know... but then, that could make Jake worry, it could start him thinking there was something new, and dangerous abroad. However, her other idea was a brilliant one. “Cameras! Your brilliant Carlie!” He complimented her, beaming another grin, kind of like that of the doctors now, daring, dangerous, with a dash of fun. “I’ll set the cameras up to watch all the entries for miles around, I’ll link it to a palm-top and vala! We have our own little alarm” He grinned to her, and in moments his fingers where typing away at the keyboard. He then crouched forward and fumbled under the desk, dragging out some wires and a tiny laptop, hardly bigger then the average novel, plugging it into the computer he set everything up, before jumping to his feet, almost tangling himself in wires.
He laughed and quickly un-jumbled a bit of the mess before bouncing forward. “After you, milady” He joked lightly, happily, to his young friend.

Carlie waited patiently as Kastiel sighed and stated to drum his fingers. Her brown gaze flickered back to the office, as she waited for him. she was patient, but her curiousty was not. She could not wait to get in the office and have a nosey. Jack was such a interesting person, maybe almost as interesting as the very smart one who sat in front of her. So wouldn't that mean that there had to be something interesting in there!! Maybe a hand!! That would be cool. That thought almost made her giggle, a hand!!"Hm..." Was all Kastiel said when he did, making Carie look back at him. He then was quiet, obvisouly thinking. "Cameras! Your brilliant Carlie!!" He complimented her, beaming her a grin, which matched hers. Carlie smiled even wider, knowing that Kas had a brilliant plan, all thought out. It was what he was good at. She was certain that if Jack had to go away and they had any problems, that Kastiel could get them sorted. But hopeful he wouldnt have to leave, cause after a bit the whole team would fall to bits."Well, thank you." Carlie laughed, bowing down. When she looked back up Kas was talking again, planning what they were going to do. He was good with technology, so coming up with a plan would be super easy for this computer nerd. Everyone had their own places in Torchwood. Jack, the boss, Kas, computer nerd, Gwen, the heart, Ianto, coffee and other stuff, and Her, the doctor. Though she had gone all the way though uni, became a doctor, but she had only worked a few months in a hospital, as she then got a job at Torchwood. She couldnt remember how she had got in now days. She was just glad to have got in.“I’ll set the cameras up to watch all the entries for miles around, I’ll link it to a palm-top and vala! We have our own little alarm” He grinned at Carlie, and started typing away, then started to crouch forward and fiddle with something under the desk. He pulled out some wires and a tiny laptop, about the size of a novel, average size. He then plugged it into the computer, setting everything up. A moment later he jumped up, nearly getting tangled in the wires.“After you, milady” He joked lightly, rather happliy. Carlie smiled at him."Hope you know what you are doing" She joked to him, sticking out her tounge, in a friendly mocking way, before turning and bouncing off to Jacks office. She looked back over her shoulder, and called out to Kastiel with a laugh."Race you there!!!"

Kastiel laughed and picked up a jog as he bounded after her. The palm-top was carefully to his chest with his arm over it protectively. Wouldn’t do to damage it... not at all, not only would that disable there surveillance system, but it was also mean losing all the data he stored on it. And well it couldn’t fit as much as a desk top, there were some things on it he didn’t want to lose. Back up discs... I need back up discs... he murmured silently to himself. He stored away this reminder, and honestly, no matter how jumped and full his mind got – he never forget something he needed to remember.
In moments they where in Jacks room. First thing he did was put his palm-top on the desk and fiddle with a few more things on the keypad, and up came a list of screens each displaying a small image on the screen. It was hard to make out to much detail on the small screen with so many different images fighting for space, but in the end it would be movement that gave away anyone’s approach. “Where all set – just remember to glance back here every now and then.” Was his friendly reminder to Carlie, he to would make sure that not much time passed between each of his own glances.
Happy enough with that, the brain box bounded over to the first that caught his eye, and then he was kneeling over with what sounded like wheezing, his sides heaving before he finally lifted himself up to look at Carlie to show he was laughing his heart out as he pointed to two separate things. “The second you walk in... what do you see... a cubby like bed, more like a sort of trap door that leads to small confined bed, and a-a” He couldn’t get the word out of his teeth, instead he just pointed, still cracking up. Half hidden behind the cubby was a glass... and a hand in water. “Weird” He uttered, shaking his head and recovering his stance, throwing a glance to the computer screens. “The guy is – weird” He repeated, giving a sigh as he rubbed his side, quickly moving to the side to begin a quick search through his stuff. He held his hands behind his backs to stop himself touching anything. Who knew just how weird the guy was, right? For all they knew – he very well might do constant finger-print scans on his stuff.

Carlie walked into the room behind Kastiel, watching as he placed the palm-top on the desk and fiddled on the keyboard quickly. She watched as a list of writing appeared on the screen, none of it making any sense what so ever for her. She looked up at him as he spoke. “Where all set – just remember to glance back here every now and then." Carlie nodded silently, and started to a corner of the room, as Kas went to the first thing he saw. Then Carlie heard laughing erupt behind her, and turned quickly on her heel. Kas was kneeling over, and then he looked at her, still laughing so hard his lungs could have poped. He pointed to two things. “The second you walk in... what do you see... a cubby like bed, more like a sort of trap door that leads to small confined bed, and a-a” Carlie looked at the things he was pointing to. Her gaze full on the trap door thing, and she smiled to herself. Kas couldn't get the last thing out of himself and just pointed to the thing he was trying to say. Carlie then saw it, half hidden behind the cubby was a glass, more like a jar, with a hand in water. Carlies brown eyes opened wide in shock, then she started to laugh."A hand!!" She exclaimed between laughs. “Weird” Kas uttered, shaking his head and recovering his stance, throwing a glance to the computer screens. Carlie shot a quick glance at the screens too. All clear, for the time being. How did they know when Jack would be back. And if anyone came in they would have to get out as fast as they could.“The guy is – weird” Kas repeated. Carlie couldn't think of a better word. The word in her mind was odd. Kastiel gave a sigh, rubbing his side. He then moved to a side to have a quick search, holding his hands behind his back. Carlie looked around to."What else does he have?? A brain??" Carlie joked, looking back at Kas for a second, and then to the computer screen. She bit her lip trying to think of something to say."Well it looks like Jack lives here..... Wanna move in??" She joked, turning to look at Kas, with a cheeky look.
